Why can’t I lose weight? Posted By Nazima Golamaully

Many of us complain that we’ve tried various diets but we failed, as none helped us to lose enough weight. Indeed, most of the trendy diets just can’t be successful and they only weaken our bodies. The diets based on counting the calories or the points-based diets have the highest chances to fail. Moreover, they are extremely dangerous for our health, let alone they’re very difficult to keep. Indeed it’s true that they help you lose several kilograms in a very short time, but it’s as true that, in the long run, you’ll replace the lost weight due to the yoyo effect.

An example of incorrect diet is the one based on high protein consumption and no carbohydrates, because any human being needs a certain quantity of complex carbohydrates in order to be healthy and have energy. Therefore avoid diets that forbid the eating of rich carbohydrates foods such as wholegrain cereals like oat, barley, millet or rye.

Other frequent mistakes are the diets that reduce the number of essential fat acids, as fat acids have the role of helping our bodies dissolve fats. So, eliminating fat acids from your diet, you completely eliminate any chance of losing weight.

In conclusion, if you need to lose weight, you don’t need to starve, but instead approach a new life style, new eating habits and eat healthy foods.

If you eat healthy foods and you turn this into a new life style your body will be in the best shape ever. Why does this happen? Because this type of foods increase your vitality, help your heart to be healthy, reduce stress, adds to your blood substances which unblock the arteries and reduce the cholesterol, help delay the aging process, increase your body’s resistance to infections and they help you stay in a good shape.

Fruits, vegetables, cereals and seeds have enzymes which serve as food for our body and for its cells, keeping the balance of our metabolism.

It is very important that you eat fresh fruit and vegetables that haven’t been sprayed with chemical substances. Eat healthy carbohydrates, with no refined sugar added, like the ones from fruits, black bread, whole wheat, rice and vegetables.

Good fats are important too and they help processing other fats. They’re called essential fat acids and can be found in peanuts, seeds (linseeds, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds). Replace most of the proteins from meat with proteins from vegetables. They are more efficient, cheaper and healthier than the meet proteins.
