Just as a road map helps in finding the correct way to reach our final destination, an effective weight loss plan will help us reduce our weight and get rid of those unwanted love handles and belly fat. </p>
<p> Once you are able to find the right kind of plan that ideally fits into your present lifestyle, you should do your best to follow it through until your final goal has been achieved. A good weight loss plan should not demand too much too soon, but should steadily increase its effectiveness over a period of time, preferably on a weekly basis. The overall objective is to be able to extend your exercise routines to longer and longer periods until you successfully attain the results you are looking for. Here are a few tips that will help you set a plan and gradually lose those unwanted pounds: </p>
<p> <b>Step 1.</b> Always have concise and clear objectives in mind and make sure they are achievable. You should never make a plan that is impractical, unrealistic and impossible. Don&#8217;t make goals that can take a long time to attain. Instead, make numerous smaller goals; this will be far more motivating in moving you forward to the ultimate goal – a slimmer and fitter you. </p>
<p> <b>Step 2.</b> The next place to start is to analyze what you eat and then look at how you can make the necessary adjustments to replace your present diet with a more health low carbohydrate, low fat, high protein and high fibre diet that you like and enjoy eating. Whether you would be best suited by eating special foods to speed up your metabolism, or whether you prefer a quick-and-easy diet fix like the baby food diet, make sure your chosen diet fits into your lifestyle and preferences.</p>
<p> <b>Step 3.</b> Find and adopt an exercise regime that you also enjoy doing. An effective exercise regime helps to burn off those unwanted calories stored around your waist by increasing your normal basal metabolic rate.</p>
<p> <b>Step 4.</b> After a short period of time you should then analyze the effectiveness of the plan and ask yourself<br /> ”am I getting rid of my excess weight”? If the answer is “no” then it is time to start readjusting the overall plan by finding out what is not working and what is working for you. Change what isn’t working and, of course, keep what is.</p>
<p> <b>Step 5.</b> If you are successfully dropping those pounds then it is time to start to build on your existing plan and look for ways to increase and maximise your weight loss efforts until you are losing one- two pounds per week with relative ease. (Losing weight faster than that is not recommended, both for general health reasons and because weight lost too quickly comes back after the diet is over and is harder to get rid of.)</p>
<p> Making a sensible and effective weight reduction plan and keeping a track of the developments is one of the best ways to go about combating the problem of excess weight, and will help considerably in getting you down to your desired weight. </p>

However, if you have ever tried to lose weight before, you know that it can be a difficult task. Changing habits and everyday routines takes a lot of dedication and work. These following tips can help you find ways to incorporate healthier habits into your routine and lose weight.</p>
<p> 1.	Find a new workout video. So many of us get bored doing the same old exercise routines over and over again. Boredom eventually leads to quitting. So try to change up your routine. The next time youâ€™re at the video store or the library, pick up a new Self Defense DVD. These programs can make learning martial arts moves exciting, but they also get you moving and increase your flexibility. If martial arts moves arenâ€™t your thing, then look for a new yoga workout video or try learning a new style of dance. The important thing is to challenge yourself and to not let yourself get bored.</p>

<p> 4.	Be positive. No one is perfect, but you are more likely to fail if you donâ€™t have the right attitude. When you slip up, acknowledge it and move on. Try to think of ways to prevent future slip ups, and do your best not to dwell on negative thoughts and emotions. Bad feelings and stress are triggers for people to start eating high-calorie foods.</p>
<p> 5.	Reduce stress in your life. Take time out for yourself and remember to take deep breaths and stay calm. Stress often leads to eating and can trigger depressed emotions. Do something nice for yourself. Take a leisurely walk and a nice hot bath.</p>

<p> <b>Join a Group</b><br /> Research shows that people who join a slimming group or who those who lose weight with a friend are more likely to succeed.  This is simply because you can encourage and motivate each other and borrow their motivation when you need to.</p>
<p> <b>Avoid the Scales</b><br /> Obviously you will need to check your weight on a regular basis.  However we all know that our weight can fluctuate on a daily basis depending on many factors.  It is best to weigh yourself only when you have agreed to do so, perhaps on a weekly basis and avoid the scales between weigh ins.</p>
<p> <b>Make a Public Declaration</b><br /> On Facebook or some other social networking site, declare that you are on a diet and what your short term goal is.  Then state what you will do if you don’t achieve this goal.  It could be run naked in the snow, go skinny dipping or eat cat food.  Anything that is repulsive to you is sure to inspire your weight loss program.</p>
<p> <b>Include Things You Love in Your Diet</b><br /> A diet that excludes all your favourites is going to be a very short diet.  Try to find some way of including your favourites within your daily calorie allowance.  For example; you would love a chocolate bar so today you will have low calorie soup for lunch with only one slice of bread so you can enjoy your chocolate and not feel guilty afterwards.</p>
<p> <b>Find an Enjoyable Exercise Regime</b><br /> Try to think back to when you were younger (and fitter) what exercise did you enjoy at school?  Netball, hockey?  If you partake in an exercise that you enjoy you are far more likely to continue with it week on week.</p>
<p> <b>Visualise the Slimmer You</b><br /> Every day take a little time to picture in your head the fitter, leaner you.  See yourself happy and smiling; picture others around you enjoying your company.  You could even post a picture on the fridge of you before the weight piled on and one showing you now.</p>
<p> <b>Set Easily Achievable Targets</b><br /> If you have 5 stone to lose and you give yourself a target of 5 stones in 5 months time then that can seem some way off and is unlikely to inspire you.  If you set yourself a target of losing 1 stone in 1 month’s time then that seems far more achievable.</p>
<p> <b>Make a List of Rewards</b><br /> Most of us are over weight because we reward ourselves with food.  Try to get out of this habit by rewarding yourself when you reach your goals with non-food related items.  For example; maybe you could have a manicure when you lose 5lb, buy those jeans you’ve been after for a while, or go out and get drunk.  Anything that doesn’t involve foods will help you to break that habit.</p>
<p> <b>Avoid Temptation</b><br /> Why make things harder than they have to be?  If you have a craving for chocolate and there isn’t any in the house, what are you going to do?  Either drive to the local shops or have something else.  If you make it difficult to eat something that is bad for you it is likely you won’t bother.  Don’t buy items that you are trying to avoid.</p>
<p> <b>Get Competitive</b><br /> You often find that people who want to lose weight set themselves a goal that they have to be fitter and leaner for.  For example; many people may enter themselves in a marathon or set themselves the challenge of winning the parents race at school.  This can be a great motivational tool.</p>
<p> If all else fails and you are struggling to stay on the straight and narrow – then don’t.  Take a week off, eat what you like and start again next week, after all, we all know you lose more weight in the first week of a diet!</p>

<p> Danger! High Risk of Stroke</p>
<p> Atherosclerosis is the name of the extreme narrowing of the arteries, which as a rule leads to the formation of an arterial blood clot and death, is a key pre-condition of numerous strokes.
